If you’re under 19 or a full time student, getting around Tyne and Wear has never been easier.
This ticket for students and young people is the only travel ticket that will let you travel throughout Tyne & Wear on virtually any bus, the Metro, Sunderland to Blaydon rail line and Shields ferry.

Are you either…
Aged over 16 and under the age of 19 on 1st September 2018?
Take your original birth certificate, driving licence, passport or expired POP Card to any TravelCentre, together with a current passport style photograph. You will be given a Network One Photocard and a Network One Young Person’s ID Card, which will have the six digit number from your Network One Photocard written on it and the date of your 19th birthday.
You can use this ID Card to buy Network One tickets for Students and Young People. If you lose your Network One Young Person’s ID Card, you can get a replacement by taking your original birth certificate, driving licence, passport or expired POP Card to any TravelCentre, together with a current passport style photograph.

Aged over 16 on 1st September 2018 and in full time education at School, College or University?
If your Student ID Card shows all the following information you can use this ID Card to buy Network One tickets for Students and Young People.
Name of educational establishment
Student’s current passport style photograph
That the student is a full time student
An expiry date
If requested you must provide a copy of your Student I.D. Card by email or in person at your local Travel Shop.
The I.D. Card must show:
• The name of the Educational Establishment which you attend
• Your name
• Your passport style photograph
• That you are a full time student
• An expiry date which is after the expiry date of the ticket being ordered
If your Student ID Card does not show all of this information you cannot use the ID Card to buy Network One tickets for Students and Young People, and you should apply for a Network One ID Card by downloading & printing this leaflet and submitting the form by post.
A current passport style photograph and certificate of eligibility will be required for your first ticket. Network One tickets for Students and Young People cannot be issued if the appropriate ID Card is not produced at the time of purchase.
